Thanks Denise. I'm sending them from the future which is proof that everything's going to be alright :) The old Looney Toons backgrounds had so much thought put into them. I recently finished reading "The Noble Approach" which outlines his process.
Thanks Adam. I agree about the contrast in A. I thought the more pink background might hint at the love everyone has for mars. But I am worried that it is too close to the colour of Mars, making the planet stand out less

I think the dark space of A allows the foreground and midground to pop, but Iām not adverse to a little bit of cosmic ultraviolet as in B either.
Aside: those WB backgrounds, so good.
